Wow, I haven't updated this page in a long time... thought I would try to keep it more current.

Some things you can pray for me about are:

- I am very certain that God wants me here in Adelaide for a season and so have peace about that, but I am in the process of praying about several options as to specifics of what I am supposed to be doing here. I am working mostly in youth work at the moment but have many opportunities and not enough time for all of them. So, I really want to hear God about what his plans are for me.

- I know that we are always learning but know that this time in particular is a time where God will be teaching me a lot (as he has for the last 2 years). Please pray that my heart will be open to what he is asking me to change, what he is teaching me, and that I will grow in the right ways.

- One of the areas I am needing to learn in is my finances... I am in need of finances but don't just want a magic wand to take my debts away but rather to learn wisdom in managing my finances. I know that God is teaching me as well as providing for me, so please pray for his provision but also for me to learn the lessons I need to.

- Many of my good friends have left Adelaide recently, all for good reasons, but I am feeling a little lonely. Pray that I will be able to trust God in this area of my life as well and also use the time to become closer to him.

Some things you can pray about for me - 

- Thanks to God that I'm where I'm supposed to be! I'm loving my life here, and while I'm really looking forward to seeing my family in November, I have a great peace about being here. That's a great feeling!

- For Laura and I as we're working on the beginnings of Youth Street. This is going to be a long process! We were just praying today, though, and I was so struck by the fact that this is GOD'S project, we're just his workers - so he's got it all under control. What a good realisation. 

- Also, for Youth Street, that we would have more staff to join us. Right now, it's just the 2 of us and we're praying and asking God to bring the RIGHT people to join us! 

- For God to keep speaking to me and growing me. It's easy to let other things become distractions and to not prioritize my relationship with him, though I know that's the most important part of... life, really. I want my ministry to be coming directly from what God is putting into me, not my own strength.

Gods blessings

Right now, the biggest thing I would really appreciate prayer for is for clarity and direction. I've shared a bit about what I'm planning for the coming years in my main blog, but I still feel that I'm in need of confirmation from God. I feel like I do know what God has for me, but I want to be in a situation where, when times get tough, I have specific things to hold onto, not just a general feeling a while ago that this was right. I hope that makes sense, and that you'll join me in praying for this!

Here is how you can pray for me in the coming weeks:

- For God to speak to me and  teach me a lot during our 3-week Bible study course

- Clarity and peace about the future

- Regular supporters and for my financial situation in general 

- For guidance for our whole ministry as we'll be praying and seeking God for the next few months

- Provision to be able to visit home for Christmas!

- That I would continue to grow every day into the woman that God wants me to be... and not be satisfied with where I am

Thank you for your prayers! Here is how you can be lifting my team and myself in prayer while we are in India.

- Finances to pay the bases where we are staying and for transport

- Team unity

- For God's blessing on our ministry here, that he would continue to grow any seeds that we plant

- That God would continue to grow me personally, and give me wisdom as I'm part of the leadership for the team

- Safety in our travels

- Blessing for the YWAM base where we are staying - their ministry here is amazing, and they have blessed us so much

DTS, outreach, beyond

Dear loved ones,

Here are a few prayer points that I would currently really appreciate your prayers for. 

- I am in the process of switching visas, and mine has taken much longer than expected. I am not in danger of being deported or anything, but I won't be able to leave the country if I don't have my new one by that time. 

- For God to continue to work in the lives of the students (and myself) during the remainder of this DTS. God has been doing really cool things so far, but we are still praying that God will deepen their relationships among themselves and they'd go even deeper in what God has for them.

- For God to continue to be working in me. I am definitely learning and growing a lot, and have a sense that this time of my life is very much about growth and learning for the future. I don't want to miss out on anything.

- For our outreach to India: safety, contacts, finances, and anointing in our ministry.  Pray, too, that we'll have a clear sense of what specific things God wants us to do, not just what we think would be effective. 

- That God, in his timing, would give me clear guidance for my future, and when that comes that I would be obedient and able to do what he asks.

Prayer needs for now:

- Confidence in what God has me doing, and that he would strengthen me when I'm weak

- Team dynamics - that the students would click quickly, and for unity on the leadership team as well.

- That God would lead me towards the right outreach location, and guidance for the students too.
- Increased passion for Adelaide and evangelism
